Electronics Recycling
Responsible electronics recycling is our commitment to you and the planet.
Here at GCI, we are committed to reducing e-waste and protecting our planet. In this modern era, we depend on electronics in almost every aspect of our lives, and we are constantly upgrading and buying new tech. Because of this, there is more e-waste now than ever, and we believe it is our responsibility to mitigate as much of it as we can. Many people might not know that electronics can contain highly toxic material and cannot be thrown out with other waste, so it is imperative for ethical disposal. We believe our responsibility is to provide our clients with access to premium e-recycling for the planet and their wellbeing.

We're an R2 RIOS-certified Company
GCI is an R2/RIOS-certified company, which means we are certified by R2/RIOS, a third party, to uphold the highest possible standard of electronics recycling through strict criteria and regular audits. These measures ensure that we comply with and exceed all EPA regulations and guidelines for handling e-waste and other hazardous materials.
FEATURED SERVICES
How we reduce, reuse, & recycle.
Our goal at GCI is to reduce and eliminate e-waste by safely breaking down old equipment to reuse in other products to keep as much as we can out of landfills.
We aim to create zero e-waste, and the first step is carefully disassembling each piece of equipment and sorting it into core components, metals, and non-metals. Once sorted, we take the separated items so they can be reused and manufactured into new products.
Responsibly Recycling Your Electronics
At GCI, we know how important privacy is for our clients, and keeping your data safe and secure is a priority for us when recycling electronic equipment. To ensure your data stored on retired equipment is secure, we oversee the e-recycling process from the minute you hand over your electronic equipment to the moment we dispose of it. Our data wiping process is highly efficient, and we use the latest equipment designed to wipe and secure your private data.
Our Premium Recycling Technology
Before recycling, we run non-functioning drives through our data wiping protocols. After this, we then put the wiped drives through our crusher or degausser to be destroyed and recycled for maximum security. In some cases, we will not be able to clear a device altogether. When this happens, PDA devices such as phones and tablets will be demolished in the Garner PD-5 crusher and recycled appropriately Every step is completed onsite, so your private data never leaves the premises, therefore insuring a secure chain of custody.
